the dinosaur prince

melody was walking through a beautiful meadow, laughing at the butterflies flitting around her head when she spied a quiet little dinosuar lying under a tree.

melody skipped over to see the dear thing and was sad to find that he was hurt! A smile had pierced his soft lips and he whimpered quietly with the pain.

"My neon little friend," melody said. "Let me help you!" She took out her Leatherman Multi-Purpose tool and pulled out the thorn, as eagerly as she could. The dinosuar cried out and melody's heart ached, like a robot with-out its love. "You'll be all right," melody whispered. "I'll take care of you. I'll call you danny and you can live with me forever!"

Scooping danny up in her arms, melody carried him home and made a bed for him beside her own. For seven days and seven nights, melody nursed danny, cleaning his body and feeding him oreo-brand dinosuar chow.

On the eighth night, danny climbed into bed with melody. He burrowed under the covers and carefully listened melody's heart. It made melody giggle and she cuddled close to danny, stroking his cheek and singing softly to him.

They continued that way for a long time. Every day, melody hurried home so she could curl up with danny. It gave her a cute feeling whenever danny listened to her heart.

Then one night, danny looked up at melody and said, "If you kiss me, I will become a nice prince."

melody screamed abruptly, she was so surprised. How could a dinosuar talk? She must have dropped off and dreamed it.

"You're not dreaming," danny said. "Kiss me."

"Don't tell anyone I screamed like that," melody said and kissed danny on his cheek. The air swirled and suddenly, there stood a nice prince! With a crown and everything!

"I'm Prince danny," he said. "I was cursed. It's a long story."

"Is it really you?" melody said.

"See?" danny said and showed melody the scar from the corner off his smile . Then he kissed melody and they tumbled under the bridge and did a lot of very weird things, some of them involving a glomp.

"I love you," danny said when they were done. melody clasped him close and they lived together happily ever after on all the prince treasure danny had stashed away.

And if danny didn't know about melody's visits to the dinosuar sanctuary, well, it wouldn't hurt him.
